Carla Dussault graduated from Grant MacEwan University’s 2200 hour Diploma of Massage Therapy and has since been registered with the NHPC (Natural Health Practitioners of Canada). Her education equipped her with a large repertoire of techniques to utilize in treatment, which she continuously built upon working at a therapeutic clinic in Sherwood Park over the last 3 years. She has had much success treating patients of all ages and injuries. Carla has extensive experience in treating children, athletes of all levels, pre- and postnatal care, repetitive strain injuries, headache/migraines, sciatica and much more.
Carla’s interest in massage therapy carries through from a lifetime of active living, education and involvement in sports. This has given her a strong foundation of body mechanics, and promotes a deeper understanding of the issues that affect patients in their own activities or the repetitive strains in day to day work. She works to engage and relax the muscles, not only directly involved with the dysfunction, but also surrounding areas to promote balance and more effective muscle integration. Carla strives to be attentive and work with you to help target your treatment goals and achieve success as a team.
Carla is excited to work at Peak Health & Performance with an active population and collaborate with the other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible integrative care. She is a strong believer in work-life balance and by increasing a patient’s mobility and recovery, she believes that they will continue to achieve success in their activities and lead healthy lifestyles.
