Abby graduated with her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Prior to completing her Masters Degree, she earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto.
Growing up playing a variety of sports, Abby became exposed to the different types of injuries that can occur to many different parts of the body. She was interested to learn more about injury prevention and sports medicine, and chose to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Through her clinical placements, she has gained exposure working with many diverse patient populations including pulmonary rehabilitation, stroke, traumatic brain injury, pediatrics, and acute geriatrics.
Although Abby especially loves working with kids, she also enjoys working with patients of all ages. She ensures that her patients’ needs are heard and collaborates with them to achieve their goals and be active participants in their health. She also believes in an evidence-based approach when working with patients to conduct thorough assessments and provide tailored treatments.
Abby loves to participate in activities to keep herself entertained in her free time. She enjoys drawing, roller skating, sports like volleyball and badminton. She is also a big fan of bubble tea and loves to try new, exciting flavors!
