Alysha Abernethy
Physiotherapist
- Doctor of Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology
Alysha graduated with her Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University in Australia. She also holds her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in Sports and Exercise Studies from the University of Saskatchewan.
During Alysha’s time at the University of Saskatchewan, she volunteered with the Huskie Athletics’ Student Trainer Program where she worked with various Huskie teams, supporting the athletes on and off the field. This is where her passion for supporting individuals through their rehabilitation journey began.
Alysha has extensive physiotherapy experience working with children with developmental delays and individuals with disabilities. She believes in meeting every child exactly where they are at and is passionate about helping kids discover what they can do by setting meaningful goals—whether that’s moving with more confidence, returning to activities or building new skills. She values working alongside families and other healthcare providers, problem-solving in practical ways, as well as understands the importance of exploring adaptive equipment to support independence and participation. Alysha is dedicated to continuing to learn and develop her skills to better support her clients.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Alysha spending time with friends and family and getting outdoors—hiking, golfing, skating, and wake surfing whenever she can. She has also recently started learning hand embroidery.
