Jess was born and raised in Edmonton, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science’s in Psychology from the University of Alberta. She then ventured to Australia to obtain her Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney.
Growing up playing ice hockey and being fascinated with the workings of the human body, Jess knew she wanted to pursue a career where she would be able to help people reach their greatest potential both physically and mentally, and thus found her passion for Physiotherapy.
Jess understands the complexities of what being in pain can bring, from the physical limitations to the mental barriers. She believes in developing a patient-centered treatment plan to help each individual achieve their desired goals; whether its healing from a recent injury, starting a new activity, or generally improving your overall mobility on a day-to-day basis. Jess utilizes a combination of manual therapy, education, and exercises to help her patient’s get back to what matters most to them and too once again find fulfillment in activities they enjoy.
In her free time, Jess can be found capturing life’s most precious moments with her camera, exploring the mountains, playing hockey, brewery hopping on the weekends, or venturing the great outdoors with her dog Winston.
