TMJ therapy offers a range of benefits, including relief from chronic jaw pain, reduced headaches and earaches, improved jaw mobility, and a decrease in muscle tension in the face, neck, and shoulders. It can enhance chewing function, reduce clicking or popping sounds in the jaw, and help prevent long-term joint damage. By addressing underlying issues such as teeth grinding or misalignment, TMJ therapy also supports better sleep quality and overall oral health, leading to improved daily comfort and quality of life.

I have been a patient of Jessica Ecclestone's for just over a year. She uses a combination of cupping and hands on treatment, but will guide her treatment method to your request (I have also had a massage where I requested no cupping, and she was very easy to accommodate). She is professional and passionate about providing excellent care. I highly recommend her. In addition, the reception staff is always very friendly and welcoming. They make your experience enjoyable from start to finish!

I am a new patient at Peak Health but can already confidently say this clinic deserves nothing less than 5 stars. The front staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and kind. From the first visit, Kevin made me feel safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. He is extremely knowledgeable about his work and worked with me to create a custom treatment plan so that I can get back to 100%. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here pretty much since they were open. Great to see what it's grown to what it is now. Kate and Evan are awesome and really know how to hire an all-star team. The staff at the counter are super friendly, especially Jana! It's always welcoming being greeted by them when I come in for my appointments.
I've had Blair as my Physio to help get me recovered from years of back pain and a leg surgery from 2 years ago, Claire as my Chiro to aid me on the tail end of my recovery (Thanks you two! I'm back to weight training now!) and Julie and Jodi as my massage therapists, they are great and really know how to work out any tightness I've had so far.
I've been to other clinics before, but Peak Health & Performance stands out from the rest!

Peak Health is my go to place to keep my body functioning as it should, all their services are top notch. As a career firefighter I need to keep on top of all the little aches and pains so that I can function when needed, Dr. Durnin and his team help with that. I highly recommend Peak Health & Performance.

I have been to see multiple practitioners for different issues and injuries and have been so impressed by the excellent and professional quality of service I have received from all. They all work together to diagnose and provide recommendations for the best type of treatments. For example, my massage therapist recommended me to a physiotherapist when she detected my soreness was actually a mobility issue. The facility is well maintained, clean, and uses top notch equipment to aide the practitioners in their appointments. The clinic seems well organized and my appointments have always run on time. Their online booking system makes it easy to schedule appointments myself and they direct bill my insurance company. It is definitely the best clinic I have been to for sports medicine and highly recommend it!

Janelle's techniques with needling and cupping are superior to any physio treatments I have had throughout my life. She treated multiple injuries in my elbow, achilles tendon and ankle that other clinics could not successfully treat or even slightly improve. I was back doing heavy weight training within a few weeks. I had a follow up MRI on my elbow and achilles which also proved rapid recovery from her work. She works in a very efficient manner to maximize each appointment for a speedy recovery. I will never go to any other clinic.

What is TMJ Therapy?
TMJ therapy refers to a range of treatments designed to alleviate pain and dysfunction in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which connects the jawbone to the skull. This therapy can include physical therapy, manual adjustments, dental appliances like night guards, relaxation techniques, and lifestyle changes to reduce stress and strain on the jaw. In some cases, it may also involve collaboration between chiropractors, physiotherapists, dentists, and other healthcare providers. The goal is to restore normal jaw function, reduce pain, and prevent further joint damage or complications.
What Happens During a TMJ Treatment?
The process begins with an initial examination by a physiotherapist, where you are taken through a thorough history of your injury, your medical history, and your goals.
This is followed by a physical examination utilizing muscle assessment and movement evaluations.
Diagnosis and a plan of management are discussed along with education on how TMJ therapy can best help treat the condition or act as a complement to other therapies.
