Why Choose Chiropractic at Peak
Our experienced health care practitioners use a combination of individualized chiropractic treatments based on your unique, specific needs. Our comprehensive approach and compassionate care for each chiropractic patient extends beyond temporary relief or simple maintenance care. Everyone on our expert team has a minimum of eight years of post-secondary education, plus other health and exercise-related certifications. That combined experience and knowledge translates into excellent patient care.
Our initial consultations are 60 minutes long and all of our subsequent care treatments are 30 minutes long. We can even offer same-day appointments (as scheduling allows). We strive to see you as little as possible and quickly get you back to feeling your best!
I have been working with Sydney since she was still a student, and she is an incredibly skilled massage therapist. Her commitment to teaching her clients, setting clear boundaries/expectations and her communication style is such an important aspect of her therapeutic relationship with clients. I think you could get a great massage with many therapists, but Sydney really teaches you what your body has been doing, how to rehabilitate it, and helps to open up tight muscles you didn’t even know you had!

My son loves coming to physio, not only does our physiotherapist make every appointment fun and engaging, but we have seen huge improvements in his confidence on the playground and he is now riding a bike!

Every aspect of this clinic shouts excellence. Clean, comfortable waiting room, efficient friendly front desk staff and knowledgeable effective practitioners. I recommend this clinic to anyone looking to move and feel better.
- Scott A.
Janelle's techniques with needling and cupping are superior to any physio treatments I have had throughout my life. She treated multiple injuries in my elbow, achilles tendon and ankle that other clinics could not successfully treat or even slightly improve. I was back doing heavy weight training within a few weeks. I had a follow up MRI on my elbow and achilles which also proved rapid recovery from her work. She works in a very efficient manner to maximize each appointment for a speedy recovery. I will never go to any other clinic.
- Sean O’Rourke
Jessica's overall knowledge is commendable. She is a good listener and always suggests exercises you can easily perform at home to help with your situation. Jessica is a true professional who clearly enjoys her profession and takes pride in delivering a massage of high calibre using various techniques and tools.

From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by kind, friendly staff. I've had the pleasure of working with Chiropractic, physiotherapy and massage. Each are excellent and they care about your health. Never once have I felt like I was rushed out the door, or just a number. If you are looking for knowledgable and caring staff, I highly recommend you give Peak Health a try!
- Andrew Robinson
I have been a client of Kevin’s for a few years. I had a complicated shoulder recovery after surgery. Kevin explained everything to me in great detail and provided a comprehensive rehab plan. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic from the professionalism of the doctors to the friendly front desk staff. Great clinic and I recommend it to all my friends.
- Cory Comeau
Peak is the best! I can't say enough about how they have helped me to feel better and encouraged in my healing. Dr Logan Gerwing has changed my life. I have such an optimistic view of where my healing can go since I've started here!
- Megan Niccolls
Honestly, by far one of the best clinics I’ve ever attended. From the very moment you walk in it feels comfortable and warm. Everyone is so kind and takes an interest in your recovery and building a connection. If you see someone new they are already up to date on what you last came in for. It’s such a well-oiled machine. Highly recommended! Keep it up guys!

What Is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine. It’s a non-invasive, hands-on treatment to help prevent, diagnose and treat painful conditions related to the spine, nervous system and musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic may include an array of techniques, including physical examination, spinal adjustments, soft tissue techniques, joint motion therapies, Graston technique and manual adjustments. By employing a range of therapeutic technique and treatment modalities, chiropractic care encompasses a host of pain management therapies that help patients return to their everyday activities fast.
Chiropractic is a widely-recognized and clinically-proven therapeutic treatment.
Chiropractic is one of the largest primary contact health care professions in Calgary.
What Happens During A Chiropractic Visit?
During the first visit, the chiropractor will complete a detailed health history form, followed by a hands-on assessment that includes an evaluation of pain and movement patterns, joint mobility, flexibility, muscular strength and reflexes. This initial assessment helps us to gauge your health potential.
If necessary, the chiropractor will examine relevant imaging results, lab tests and medical or surgical notes. This can be a key component of a thorough assessment.
The chiropractor will establish a diagnosis and work with you to develop an initial care treatment plan and mode of treatment based on your health goals.
During the following weeks of treatment, emphasis is placed on correcting the pain and dysfunction and preventing its recurrence.
Who Can See A Chiropractor?
People who are dealing with a wide range of issues of workplace accidents, sports injuries, pregnancy-related pain, motor vehicle accidents and stress-related ailments can all benefit from chiropractic medicine.
Once patients feel better, many continue to see their chiropractor for manual therapies and regular adjustments to help prevent further injury and treat the ailments of everyday stressors.
Chiropractic care is often covered by insurance providers, and we offer direct billing to make that process as simple as possible.
What’s An Adjustment?
An adjustment is an alternative therapy option: a non-invasive treatment, highly skilled form of physical therapy consisting of gentle techniques, controlled and directed movement to help relieve pain and discomfort and improve range of motion.
Adjustments increase motion, coordination and circulation, while reducing swelling, muscle spasms and pain.
When a joint is adjusted, sometimes a gas bubble escapes causing a popping sound. But don’t worry, chiropractic adjustment techniques have been researched extensively and are safe.
Complications are rare, and side effects such as temporary soreness are usually minor.
Your chiropractor is well-trained and will determine if you need a referral to another healthcare provider.
Chiropractic Training:
A minimum of seven years of post-secondary education – at least three years in an undergraduate university degree, and four years in a chiropractic program with over 4,500 classroom hours.
Students spend over 250 hours dissecting human cadavers and at least 1,000 hours treating patients in a supervised clinical setting.
Chiropractic students must pass strict Canadian licensing exams to practice.
Our chiropractors have a minimum of eight years of post-secondary education, plus other health and exercise-related certifications.
Insurance Coverage
Most extended healthcare plans cover chiropractic care. However, some insurance plans may require a medical doctor’s referral for reimbursement of appointment costs. Please check with your health insurance provider to confirm your specific level of coverage and any requirements.
