What is Speech Therapy?
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) helps with communication, language development, feeding, and swallowing.
For kids this may include:
- Speech sounds
- Articulation
- Stuttering
- Understanding spoken words
- Using words for communication
- Social skills
- Literacy
- Use of a communication device
When Should My Child See a Speech Language Pathologist?
- If you are unsure if your child’s communication is developing at an age expected time an assessment by a SLP is recommended.
- If you have concerns about how many words your child is saying, pronunciation, stuttering, or if your child prefers to gesture rather than speak, an SLP can help.

Family Support for Children With Disabilities
We are happy to be FSCD providers! We collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech language pathologists, behavioral therapists, an occupational therapist, and a psychologist. We also provide physiotherapy services for PUF through the collaboration with preschools.
